I want to be able to show what's on the screen of 2 or 4 computers on a single projector screen (or large plasma)
How do I do it?
Going the other way is easy - any number of splitter devices are available - but I want to do combine rather than split.
Something like LanView might work but I'm not sure if it's fast enough to keep up with movement on all the screens so some kind of hardware mixer might be better.

Thanks for the info but I think that's a bit too expensive.
Can't find prices on that site but I found a US site with a price of $3,795 - I suspect that would translate to nearly £4,000 which is a bit steep :-)

One computer running 4x tiled VNC connections to the other computers?

What? No...
1 GBP = 1.95814 USD therefore
3795 USD = 1938.07 GBP

Ah, but Geoff, are you taking into account the added cost in the UK? Something for £10 for sale in the UK is usually about $10 in the US...
What sort of inputs are you going to be feeding the screen? If you can get composite out you could get a 4 channel CCTV processor/multiplexer to do the job - bearing in mind the resolution will suck but the price would be closer to £150

You'll find if you import things as 'electronic components' you can avoid these silly import taxes and thus prices. It's helpful to have someone in the States to disassemble said electronic device into said components before shipping too. In case customs get nosey.

That doesn't work from what I've found. I've had laptop parts shipped from the USA only to be charged duty when they came into the country. They were labelled correctly but I was still charged (it added 40% to the price!).

Air mail or shipped? Try getting it shipped. Port customs is laughable.
