15th December 2010, 02:35 PM #4 Lets look at this a little closer shall we, Ruckus have announced that the offer is due to expire at the end of the year as per the confirmation which was extended at the last quarter until the end of December.
Secondly I sat yesterday with the Uk sales Director and also had conversations about the offer and that I wanted to know if this would be extended and the comments were as follows.
The offer is due to expire at the end of the year and that is the status so far, the proposed idea from the Ruckus UK and EMEA team is that they would like to see this continued and that they feel the offer would be beneficial to all education sites going forward, they also wonder what impact it would have should the offer be removed.
The status to date is that the offer extension has not been approved or denied from the VP of world wide sales and that this will not be anounced until nearer the end of the year, as normal with all these offers the vendors like to keep the proposed plans for the next quarters close to their chest.
If and when the offer has been submited in writting then as always we will as I am sure CPLD also will announce this on the Edugeek forum to keep the users informed.
Simon yes this may sound like a contradiction of each others facts, however we have no written proof or formal agreement from Ruckus, neither do CPLD (confirmed with the UK sales Director 20 minutes ago) neither do distribution so until that does arrive the offer is still due to expire (sorry wish I could confirm otherwise)
Regards
Mark

15th December 2010, 03:23 PM #5 Please note that I have moderated some posts here. As per the T&C's another sponsor may not hijack anothers offer or post, and it does neither company any good arguing in public.

15th December 2010, 03:32 PM #6 I would certainly say arguing is an embellishment, as I'm sure the OP will agree..ours was merely an exchange of information.
Neither was the post a hijack of an offer (as this offer is from Ruckus themselves) If it had appeared in the advertiser section we certainly would have left well alone (as per the Edugeek rules) however as it appears in Hardware it was believed to be a general discussion on the topic.
Hate to chirp up against any decision, just felt it necessary to clarify our comments.
