    Fujitsu Siemans laptop keys

Is it possible to buy individual keys for the amilo pro V2030.
Im after the left shift key as it was "accidentally" pulled off. I spent 6 hours yesterday making a custom clip as on the back of the key a small piece of plastic had snapped off, to then find out that the "X" mechanism that holds the key in place, only half of it was there. The guy is not willing to folk out £70 for a brand new keyboard as im sure that there are places that do the keys or even a used keyboard with the shift key still attached.
If anyone knows of anywhere, let me know

    Re: Fujitsu Siemans laptop keys

I've never heard of any company selling individual keys for laptop keyboards, but if anyone does know please tell me too, as we've just replaced 10 keyboards on Acer laptops due to vandalism at a cost of over £400! (We then used the remaining keys from these to repair the other 10 or so damaged ones.)

Would be ace if somewhere does sell individual keys.

For teacher or private laptop I've used a small external USB keyboard as a replacement which works fine as long as they're not packing and unpacking it often.

yeah, 6 hours, to glue, nay, araldite the smallest piece of plastic to the base of the key. Will try that contact when i go back to work, then the rubber dimple came off, so i had to glue that to the laptop too.. if it was anyone else at work i would have said, buy a new keyboard, but seeing as tho he is a good friend, i took it to the end.. and im the kinda person that starts something and has to finish it...i was high as a kite by the end of yesterday
