Have searched the site but can't find any recommendations.
We have a Sanyo PLC-SW10 which has stopped working. There are no warning lights, and the bulb is only a few months old. I do not have another bulb to swap in to it - or I think I don't - all our other Sanyos have different bulbs in so I daren't try.
I don't quite know what to do -does anyone know a good repairer or have any other advice?
The projector was given to the school along with a Smart board about 5.5 years ago and so is not under guarantee or anything

In my experience, old projectors are more costly to repair than they are to replace. You can pick up basic models now for £300.
We replace our PC's and equipment every X years, so why not projectors?

Yeah, but x years in my case is approximately 10!

ISTR someone writing here that the basic repair charge for an HP projector was £300. New lamp £200+ with no guarantee of it being that? It is likely to be beyond economic repair.

GM Services are official repairers for Sanyo products, they deal with their warrenty repairs (as I've just sent them one!) They may also be able to help get an out of warrenty unit repaired, or give you some advice as to why it might not be working in the first place. Give them a call, contact number is 01908 321 103

I bet its either PSU or Ballast Kit thats gone in it, most projectors from that era seem to suffer with poor ballast kits and as a result just pack in.
