emac to promethean via serial to usb adapter
Can anyone help? My school has older interactive whiteboards which were supplied with a serial connection. Since upgrading imacs (os 9.2) to emacs (os 10.3.9) the computers and the whiteboards won't talk to each other. The correct driver is installed for the adapter (a keyspan) and the system profiler can 'see' the adapter but seems blissfully unaware of the whiteboard. The little green light on the adapter flashes. The PC will only talk to whiteboard through the serial wire, it won't play on usb either. The school technician is emailing promethean and looking for firmware but we have had months of trying to fix this and promethean's site is not so helpful....
Does anyone else find as ICT coordinator people only talk to them about the things that don't work?
