I've got a very old pentium P75 machine in my workshop at home, only use it for playing MP3s over the network from my main machine. It's 12 years old this year!

It has a 1GB WD drive that's still going strong, and at the last check still had no bad sectors! (yes I have had it since new, just don't want to part with it as it was my first ever PC!)

Running maxtors and seagates here, we get a drive fail once a year on average but R5 to the rescue.

Seagate here, I have built systems recently and have had problems with Maxtors arriving with large amounts of bad sectors and not formatting (Full formatting first time always)

I deal with a large amount of Elonex hardware in my schools and most seem to have 5400rpm WD that have a knack of becomming very noisy and failing. Wack a Seagate 7200.10 in and get a performance hike too!!

I have an NT4 server put in a fair few years ago with a 18Gb 10k Fujitsu SCSI and its still going strong. Decommisioned now though.
