Fujitsu Seimens Amil Pro 2010 Wireless
I have this notebook at home and am finding the onboard wireless a little tempremental. It had been working fine for a couple of months then started playing up now I get no signal even when I am standing next to the blasted router.
If I use a USB wireless (linksys) adapter I can connect to my Router (linksys) no problem, I have trawled the sludge and found a few people are having the same problem, could a windows updated have caused any problems? I have tried the fujitsu website but its a little poor, they dont provide email support, wanting to rake money in from premium phone lines!

Make, model, OS and other software?
What connection type are you using a/b/g? with WEP or WPA?
The more information you can give the better.

I also have a few of those laptops in the school and they are very frustating when they want to work on our Dlink access point.

If you can provide as much info as possible (Model, specs, Windows version, updates installed, etc), I'll try & get hold of our Fujitsu techs & see if they have any information. Also, do you have the Cisco connection management software installed?

Is this a school wireless link or your home one? If it's the home one it may be that the channel the router is using has bebcome 'congested' due to other people in your immediate area also having a wireless AP. Try changing channels and see if that resolves the issue.

Also if you have a lot of APs see if they support WDS.

This is a work access point and the only access point on site.

Do you know that the WiFi on the laptop and router works? Not as daft-a-question as it sounds
You need a second laptop/NIC and a second AP to test the two.

It sounds like a classic example of wireless kit being choosy about who it connects to. I've noticed this in many manufacturers kit, including Intel, D-link, Netgear etc. They all connect fine intitially but after a whils the connection becomes more and more flaky until eventually you get nothing at all. I wonder if the Zero Configuration Service has something to do with this?
