I hope someone can point me in the right direction here. I need a Tower PC security cage, and they need to be cheap less than £60 each, does anyone know of a supplier?

We have looked into this very issue recently. The best price we found was £130 from www.pcsafe.co.uk All the other products we found that came in at a lower price were just mounting cages not intended to offer security.
Thanks for the reply DaveP, I did stumble onto this site late yesterday afternoon, but I don't know what you think but £130 per pc is a little bit on the steep side or at least I think so.
I seem to remember some years ago getting cages from CPC or some company like them for about £50 which I think is a more reasonable price.
Still thanks Dave looks like I might just have to spend the pennies

How about some sort of small lockable wooded cupboard?

We paid no where near this for ours. We use these guys http://www.top-tec.co.uk/ They are local to us and we have had over 150 of their security cases over the last 3 years and never had anyone try to take a pc since.
Let me know if you need to know more.
how many do you need?
get the kids to make some for you![]()

Get the kids to make them ....I like it.
Thanks for the replies. We have ended up going to a local fabrication company who think they can turn them out for around £50 each so we will see.
IF your going to buy a case to secure your PC make sure its SECURED!
we had some (around 50) installed in 3 Mac suites for PowerPc's. unfortunatly it was only when we had 3 stolen that we realised they were held into the concrete reinforced floor by 2 inch screws, you basically rock the case back and forth once or twice and they pop the heads of the screws. Just something to bare in mind.
If you're going to use screws to build them yourself make sure you drill out the socket for the screwdriver on the head otherwise they're pointless
Liek i said Top Tec case are very good. THey are very heavy as it is let alone trying to drag one away with you. We have not had one tampered with that is in a case.
If your handy with DIY then maybe one of those nice PC cradles from Ikea for £10. I got two the other day and they are really nice and sturdy. Be easy to secure them to a table.
Next get one of those security cables with the aircraft glue.
Be able to do it for £20.
As a Yorkshireman I need to be very cheap.
Just to let you all know I recieved the security brackets today and they are really good the were made bespoke and they fit perfectly. Oh yes the cost £51.95 and they reakon if I had ordered more than 15 units they could have been cheaper.
They have told me they can make any bespoke bracket or cage I desire and I must admit at that price I think I may being getting more security cages from them especially when you consider the next nearest price was £130 in this post.![]()
We've found this works well for patch cables! Not sure about the girls' welding skills!Originally Posted by bishopsgarthstockton
