    Dell Launch Streak Android Tablet

    Looking quite tasty!

    LINK to Beeb story.

Why do they insist though on having that wang journo Cellan-Jones - he knows nothing about IT - like that fat idiot Fry.

Have they sorted the proxy problems on android yet? I'm still on 1.6 and it's broken.

I'd be intersted in seeing the specs (not on the Dell site as of yet), as a travelling device it fits the bill far better than the iPad, but I shall wait to see what the HP tablet is going to look like.

TBH I'd almost expect networks to be really slow about releasing new features to existing phones, with Nokia's I've always reflashed to generic firmware. It is in the network's interest to sell you a shiny new phone every 18-24 months to keep you locked in to contract for ever more.

Is it possible to reflash a G1 to a generic Android build?

I've got a G1 (upgrading to the Desire next month) - I was under the impression we were stuck with v1.6 due to lack of available memory on the device?
