Just had it reported that a staff laptop is having troubles with the left mouse button. It works, but it's loose. It's a Toshiba Sat Pro L10 or L20 (I forget which).
Is it a case of replacing the trackpad on these? If so, anybody know where I can get one from to fit myself?

21st May 2010, 10:17 AM #2 Just doing a bit Googling and I've found this. It's cheap enough to buy and try, but thought it safer to post up here first:

Is this the part I'm looking for to replace the mouse buttons on a laptop touchpad? There's no images so I'm not sure for definate - although I think I have the right part number.

21st May 2010, 10:48 AM #3 Normally on laptops the trackpad is seperate to the buttons, and the buttons are part of the case assembly. I can't say that for definate with the Toshibas though. I have repaired loose buttons in the past with a soldering iron, melting the plastic that has become broken sometimes with excited pressing. Also might be worth cheching the switch under the button hasn't been damaged.
