We have these projectors and they are currently a problem. They were all working beautifully with staff connecting via wireless but then when they started trying to show videos over the wireless there is a time lag. As the switch from using a VGA lead to using the network connection is not automatic, (ie there is a manual configuration) we get a lot of callouts from staff who don't know how to do this. We have a problem with the interactivity as the projectors are not able to be mounted as high as they need to be, so cannot comment on how good the interactiveness is. Also as the projector is interactive and comes with drivers only there is no interactive software such as Smarboard or Interwrite. These cannot be used as the licence comes with the IWB. We have had to purchase a site licence of the RM Next Generation Easiteach which is actually not too bad. I am not sure whether to continue using them at the moment.

We have approx 40 installed but decided against using the wireless optional feature to connect & use VGA instead. Ours are all 'networked' via CAT5 & Epson provide a nice piece of software that lets you remotely manage the projector & check status, even switching input source remotely.
Our experience matches Chris01 in that mounting height is an issue if you want to get a decent image size.... I think there is a calculator either on the Epson website or in the manuals which can be downloaded. We don't have any particular issues with calibration but many of ours are used with fixed desktop systems in the classroom.
We bought a site licence for Easiteach Next Generation in preference to paying Promethean licence fees. Staff have adjusted well to using Easiteach & the developers encourage active dialogue with end users.

@Chris01 They do come with some software to provide basic interactivity it's called Epson Easy Interactive Tools. As an alternative free solution you could look at Sankore.
The video over wireless problem is well known and effects other projectors that offer wireless connections, I think it might also warn of this limitation in the documentation.

We have recently installed 12. We love them and have had no issues. we opted for wired instead of wireless. Only in 1 room is the picture smaller than it should be due to height restriction but all other rooms have a really big and clear picture, interactivity is just as nice. We use promethean and also have easiteach but haven't bothered installing it since we paid a lot of money for promethean stuff.

hmm problems starting to emerge then. Makes me glad I've recommended we stick with smart and try out the new 800 range.
