Dell Vostro 430 - support wake on lan/remote wake up?

Hi folks,

Just having a trawl on the net and looking at buying the following desktop:

Vostro 430 Desktop Computer for Small Business | Dell UK

There's a 48 hour offer on at the moment for £409

I am just trying to find out if anyone knows if the machine supports wake on lan/remote wake up? Ive been trawling the net for manuals but cannot confirm anything. Ive found manuals confirming that the vostro 400 supports wake on lan but nothing for definite on the 430.

Anyone out there got one and can confirm it supports wake on lan?

The service manual states that "Resume LAN" is an available option in the BIOS.

To be honest, I haven't come across a desktop computer in many years that doesn't support remote wake up. Even most laptops support it on the wired interface.

I know I would expect most new PCs to support it but i bought a couple of HP desktops last year and suprisingly they didn't support wake on lan.

Seriously though, that is actually pretty surprising. What models were they?

If you follow the Becta guidelines and buy Energy Star certified kit, it's all WOL enabled by default as a requirement of the standard.
