The Mysterious Case of the Over Heating Server
My admin server keeps going into thermal shutdown.
Iíve stripped the server, cleaned the filters, fans and heat sink. I have checked the fans are spinning and producing air flow and they speed up when the server gets hot.
Under the heaviest of load it hits 86c and restarts.
I canít for the life of me figure out whatís causing it to reach its upper limit as it all seems to be ok.
Anyone got some ideas?

if you have any thermal glue then try removing the proc and cleaning the old glue off and then reseating
