    SOLVED Epson EMP74 output flickering red?

    Got an Epson EMP74 projector that went strange this afternoon - page is unstable and coloured red. Is this repairable or borfed - unit is 5 years old.

    Hi could be any number of things including the lamp on its way out.

    Have you checked the VGA cable or tried a different one with it?

    Might not be worth spending any money on repairing it due to its age etc.

    You can probably pick up a new XGA projector for not much more and in some cases including a spare lamp.

    Thanks Educare - I tried a replacement bulb but as this happened at the end of the day when my mind was fogged with query overload I failed to even look at the VGA cable. Now, after a tot of good malt I'm reflecting that this particular teacher is a job share and her and the other lady use the computer in different positions. I bet when I check in the morning that the VGA has come lose! You are a star
