Recomendation need for virtual server

Hi,

I'm looking for a recommendation on server hardware for a VM box.


To host 20+ linux VM's running a memory intensive java web application
with MySQL DB on each.

Not sure if it is worth going to the blade path or will a 2U server such as
a HP DL380 would be capable enough.

Any advise much appreciated.

Dell R700 series. Can be packed out with a fair bit of memory (128gb iirc) for not a great deal of cash
