I have a PC that sometimes wont find the activeboard and no matter how many power off's or reboots cant be found. However randomly it will just work the next morning.
The only thing that I can see that is consistent is that it dies if there is a USB stick in the PC when it turns on. However the board is a serial connection.
Anyone experienced this before?
Thanks
Chris

had something a bit like this and it turned out to be a dodgie board power supply. Might be worth checking it out.

3rd March 2010, 10:51 AM #4 Have you looked at the drivers? It may be that you have both usb and serial drivers so if there is something in the usb it 'thinks' it is a board and looks there, but cant find it. I think you can uninstall the driver and just put the serial one on?

3rd March 2010, 10:59 AM #5 As far as im aware its a single driver for both and its packaged in with the Active Inspire 1.3 package. And its the latest version I have installed too.

3rd March 2010, 11:02 AM #6 There is a firmware update for the board you can download.
I would check your serial settings in the bios, IRQ's ect. Though really I would recommend you use the USB lead if you can.
