Eeepc locked HDD
I've just been passed one of our Eeepc's from the junior school and at boot it's asking for a password as the HDD is locked. I guess i missed this one when i put bios passwords on and a lovely brat has been messing around with it.
Any ideas on how to reset it?

Can you get to the cmos battery to take it out and put back? That will reset all bios settings.
Usually under a panel on the back, or under the keyboard.

I've had a look on the net and it appears the CMOS battery is on the underside of the motherboard and needs the whole unit dismantled to get to. To do this i've got to break a warrenty seal and with them only being a couple of months old dont really want to.
Was hoping there might be another way...
