I'd love to use atoms in an upcoming build (power, cooling, noise, deskspace, cheaper), but room usage prevents it 10% of the time and the timetable doesn't have space for a reshuffle.
So I'm wondering if anyone's seen a well-built SFF device using a mainstream processor with efficient power usage, inboard psu (no external pack) that doesn't cost the moon on a stick?

29th January 2010, 02:04 PM #2 Not sure about the moon on a stick factor, but there is the Dell Optiplex 780 USFF PC - announced at the end of last year. Dimensions are 23.9×6.5×23.6 vs the Acer L410s 25x6x20 with external power bricks.

If they do the $=£ pricing it'll be a bit pricier than a L410 but you do get the internal PSU you wanted...

29th January 2010, 02:08 PM #3 I've been looking at getting some Dell 780 USFF's. They have 90% efficient PSUs as standard and take a standard kettle lead while still being very small. Price wise I've been getting quotes in the same price range as our other Dell 780 SFF's (£350-400ish depending on config) with 3yr NBD warranties.

Found the HP Pro 3010 as well, but not looked into spec yet.
