I'm running Windows 7 on a HP DC7900 that I want to use with two monitors. I'm using a HP display port adapter and installed the latest video drivers from Intel but I can't get an output from the display port . The graphics properties report there is only one monitor attached to the machine. The adapter works ok with XP but I using Windows 7
Anyone come across this?
That doesn't apply in this case as I'm not getting any output at all.
what we have done is used a a vga spliter and that seems to work fine with pc monitor and projector for the teachers pc
From what I'm seeing on the HP forums, this seems to be a relatively common problem.
The end result seems to be that there is some sort of fault with the DisplayPort on that model, when combined with certain adapters and certain monitors.
What adapter are you using? And have you tried a different model/make/size of monitor?

My guess would be that the drivers for Windows 7 don't have the full range of components as those for Windows XP.
