Motherboard Display adapter dissapears
Hi there,
I have a newish Acer Veriton M464 running XP SP3
It has an NVIDIA Geforce 7050/630i Graphics adapter on the motherboard
I have installed a new Radeon HD3650 Graphics adapter hoping to turn it into a two-screen machine but when I boot up with this second card the PC fails to see the original NVIDIA adapter.
Can anyone help?
Thanks - Simon

11th December 2009, 10:57 AM #2 Some boards with onboard graphics do not have enough PCI express bandwidth to run those and the pci express slot when it's in use. We have the same problem with some intel boards, the express card disables the onboard output unless you use an x2 PCI express card (ours are at least x4).
You may however be able to turn it back on in the bios if it doesn't have this limitation.
