Hitachi Cambridge Whiteboard
We've got one of these (I can't even find a model number so I don't know what it is) and I need the 'Starboard' software - as someone's managed to lose the original discs...
It appears that on the Hitachi website, you need a serial number to be able to upgrade an existing installation, but I can't find anywhere that has the software.
Can anyone help? Also, can they tell me how these boards work? There's a panel on the right hand side behind the screen which has the USB connection, with a switch that is currently off. Naturally, when I plug the USB into the machine nothing's recognised, so I guess I have to flick this switch to 'on' to get USB recognition?
TIA

One of my clients had 13 of these and as I remember Hitachi were very reluctant to provide upgraded software. I did find a very useful contact once and will pass their details on if the guy is still working for them.

@indiegirl
We have these - you need the serial number of the board (usually on the side by the control unit) - email this to Hitachi http://uk.hitachisoft-interactive.co...ID=70&DoLogin=
and they'll send you a download link for the software.
The control unit has usb/serial/power connections and a power switch on it. Once you have the software it'll connect to the board easily.
Any probs give me a shout...

Yep, I had to do this recently. It's two big downloads. I could only download one at a time, but it worked OK.

Re: Hitachi Cambridge Whiteboard
Hmmm,
I'm sat by the board now, and there's no Serial number on or by the control unit.
I've pulled the board forward away from the wall, and there's a white sticker with an FCC ID on it - is this the sticker with the serial number??
Because of the way the board is attached to the wall (at the top) I get at maximum about a 5cm gap to get my head close to against the wall to look at this sticker.
If it's not the FCC ID I need - can anyone 'loan' me one of theirs so I can get the software down, or send me a copy of the software please??
