HP Procurve switches

Does anyone know of a tool for the HP procurve switches that would be simular in use to "jetadmin" for hp printservers, i.e config, browse all switches a central management tool.

Used to be Toptools now they ship procurve manager 2.0 with the procurve switches.

My procurves came with procurve manager 2.1 and its a time limited version hence I need something else is version 2.0 still available for download?

There was a time limited version Procurve Manager Pro on the CD's I've got but Procurve Manager wasn't.

I have got it wrong I have the Pro version, so where can I get Procurve Manager and is it free more to the point

You can buy the non pro from HP as well as the pro.

Also includes a 30-day trial version of ProCurve Manager Plus 2.1

Is central management the issue, or will central monitoring be sufficent. If you just want to monitor switches something like Nagios or Cacti will be sufficent.

I want to be able to just check them all every now and then to make sure things are running as they should be.

Nagios and/or Cacti can do this for you.

I'm gonna have a look at that Cacti tomorrow I think, though it means taking a look at MySQL first!

mrforgetful: But then I said manage not monitor but either way you'd spend less time with a central management/monitoring solution than going into each device manually via telnet.
