You only need to look at the ofcom coverage maps to see how bad o2's 3g service is

My city is apparently "HSPDA" but most of the time it falls over to edge or even GPRS. It was the same with my Nokia. Even when I've travelled the country and came close to London it's sat on edge most of the time. It was pretty bad that I got a better service when I was abroad in Holland than I do on my own network.
Might be something to consider later on when they go to the other networks but not too convinced with oranges support line etc but will take the above into consideration when they are out on the other networks

Yeah, as bad as o2's coverage is, they do have really good CS support (and it's UK based) It was a major reason I went for them over 3 when I originally started my contract.

o2 have been threatened with fines by ofcom in the past (as recently as last year) for having such naff 3g coverage.

It does make me wonder why Apple went with them in the first place....

as Shaun said OMG you've only had it like 6 months unless its a different one to the one that you got from ICT Direct as I got mine at the same time and I've only had it like 6 months or so.

The Iphone is NOT a step forward on the HTC Touch Pro HD its a step back. I setup a friends Iphone the other day, talk about time wasting, annoying and PITA, I could make a whole network with less hassle than setting that thing up!

What did you struggle with? I got mine up and running within... ten minutes? The most difficult part was working out where the SIM went,
