I have just been given one of these:
http://www.apcc.com/resource/include...u=SUA3000RMI2U
And need a power (mains) cable. These are not a standard type and all I can find is an 'uplink' daisychain one. Can anyone recommend a supplier or point me in the right direction for getting it connected to the mains please.

That's the one APC site says the C19 connector is rated for 16amps.

£9.99

That's a 16amp I think. Not sure if you need to have a 16amp ring main to plug it in to?

Ring mains are 30/32A, used with fused (13A) plugs. If you want to draw the full 16A, you need a radial circuit breakered at 16A wired in at least 1.5mm cable, probably 2.5mm, depending on details.

That isn't a plug to a C19 connector though but a C14 which is normal pc type IEC connector.

Yes it's a C19 he's after I was saying that the previous link to a product given wasn't as suitable as the others.

If by UPLINK cable you mean a C19 to C20 cable, and you need a cable quickly. Chop off one end and fit a 13 A plug.
Unless of course H&S wouldn't allow that
I think you can still buy 13A plugs !
I don't think you need to worry about ring mains, etc., etc.
A ring main can actually supply up to 30-32A, but under the IEEE regulations all outlets should be fused to 13A max. It is the total for the ring which should not exceed 30-32A.
13A @ 230V would allow up to 2990W which is above the 2700W rating.
I think the 16A is the cable rating and not the supply requirement.
The spec doesn't actually give the input power, which will be higher than 2700W, but I am sure it will be within 13A, and is usually stamped by the input connector.
Beyond that spec you would need a hard wired supply, say 40A, or even a 3-phase supply to the UPS, like in the good old days of IBM Mini's and Mainframes, etc, etc.
I think I would go for the:
rather than mess about with mixing in C14 connectors.
Although you probably have loads of old PC power cables stashed somewhere, like the rest of us
.
Just shows if you shop around, what you can save though ...

Yeah our UPS is wired directly to a three phase supply.

Dos_box: Did you get a cable for this in the end as I'm now going for a 5000va ups for all my servers and need the same thing at the moment until I get a spark to wire it in for me.

If its an APC 5000VA, then the C19s are outputs, the ups has to be hard wired (the only connection on the back is two terminals behind a plate). You might reach a compromise like I did by using a big locking 3 pin connector (mine runs of a 32A 3 phase supply).
