Posted this in OS Setup but think may get more hits here


Just wondering what most people are doing for the drive setup in there boxes.
We have Proliant gear here and usually do something like
Raid 1+0 on the First 2 drives and Install the OS on that.
Raid 5 on the rest of the drives that gets 2 partitions
1 Swap which is 1.25X Ram
1 Data Partition where anything other then OS is installed.
I am thinking with the new G6 series we have coming with 16GB of ram that we don't need such large swap.
Just curious how others setup.
