I am currently working on a sony vaio VGN laptop, the machine keeps shorting out after several seconds of being on, with or without battery. (even on power only). i have disconnected all drives and peripherals and it still continues to short. So i ordered a replacement motherboard, of course you would think this would be the only option left, however...the machine still shorts! anybody got any experience with this? or is it just me who has to suffer this omen?
