    Openfiler

Just had a play with openfiler....I like!

Old 865 board pc with a 40Gb hard disk.

Managed to create a share OK and got it all working as I want...

I just need some additional storage as backup for our Art Dept.

Basically, the students work will be on the main file servers - backed up each night.
The students will be sold 4Gb USB drives to transport their A-level photography work home to create further backup.

Any students who runs out of their 8Gb school limit will have the option to get their teacher to move finished work to the Openfiler server.

I plan to build two Openfiler servers on old 865 boards with 1Tb SATA hard disks in each.

Wondering how easy it would be to auto duplicate files from one Openfiler server to the other over-night.

You can use rsync to acheive this.
