Anyone know how to get the keyboard off an Acer Aspire 53xx laptop?
I can't seem to lift the trim from the top and there's no screws labelled anything like "keyboard" underneath...
And before the usual tyrade of sarcasm ensues, I'm thinking REVERSIBLY - like I want to put it back on again - so no chainsaws, explosives or large hammers please

7th July 2009, 01:32 PM #5 Well, the laptop's an Acer Aspire 5315 model No ICL50 (we've got a load of 5310s too and they LOOK identical from the outside)
There's all sorts of other numbers around too including a load on the back of the defective keyboard - is that enough for now or do you need more??
