Just wanted some clarification with regards to this switch or these types of switches ( home type )

If I dis connect my RJ45 cable from a port for 5 to 10 seconds and re connect it - does that reset that port or all the ports or what does it do ?

Also If I power the switch off for a good 10 seconds and power it back on do they have routing tables or what exactly does it reset or clear when you power cycle it like that ?
