Symantec !!!! Please any help would be great
Hi
I am having a problem with symantec within one of my schools. Here is the problem the server has Symantec system center on. All computers have symantec client (around 30 PC's) but not all of them are showing up in the system center on the server. Recently taking the school over as technician, the previous technician disabled the auto updates for all client computers. I have turn this on but it has only upgraded the computer which are on the server symantec system center (20 PC's). I have about 10 computer which have got old anti virus detection files on them and no way of updating them. If anyone could help me get the remaining computers on to the server Symantec system center so i could upgraded the computer like the otherones that would be great
cheers

28th April 2009, 12:36 PM #3 I suspect that the Symantec client end has been installed as standalone rather than as being managed by the server.
We do this on our laptops, so they update themselves independently of being on our network. We also have it on one or two of the PCs on the network - a desperation measure - as the client end being managed by the server end wasn't playing and wouldn't update.
