I have a tower format backup server that needs to be mounted securely (with ups) to a wall in one of our remote buildings. Does such a wallmount rack exist, or am I breaking out the mig and some angle iron?
I've seen a couple for 1-2U rackmount servers, but not a lot for tower servers (or something I could modify to accept them safely).
Dataracks do a 700wx600dx550h coms cabinet with the option of a steel door around £200.Videk Online we have a Dell poweredge sc1430 and ups in one wall mounted if thats any good?
@Ric
Ideally, I'd prefer mounted to the wall as opposed to taking up floorspace - I'm borrowing space from a dept and they don't have a lot of it to start with.
@Ozzy
I recall seeing one of those somewhere in a nearby school. Might have to visit with a tape measure.
I guess you could buy a shelf/tray for the cabinet (one that secures on all 4 corneres in the cabinet to take the weight) and sit the server/UPS on top of it?
That's what Ozzy has got me thinking - in most of our wallmount boxes that isn't possible (2-part swingout jobs), but the datarack cab + shelf looks promising. 45kg load weight is well over what I need.

Yes indeed, with a shelf in for the server and ups to sit on
