Evening, Well i finally found the time to get me a new laptop!
Thanks to simon and joe at CPLTD i have a nice Dell Studio 17 coming next week.
Just wondering what people thought of the spec, i went with this one as well the XPS after compairing them i would of paid more just for a name.. and the HP model's were just really expensive to get anywhere near this spec.

Always a pleasure fella!

I'm a HP Guy, always have been and always will be and the last XP I played with, wasn't that spec or model I think, was its predecessor it was faaaar to heavy (I know they ain't a netbook in weight at all being 17" but it was excessively heavy compared to my HP 17" which was the original 17" HP made back 5 years ago now if not longer!) So hope they have made them lighter and hope the case is stronger as its chipped the one that I know that exists.
I nearly got my daughter the 15" version for Xmas, but ended up getting the Inspiron 1525 as stock of the Studio could not be G'teed for Christmas. But from what research I did at the time they seem to have a very good reputation. The only other difference was that I was going to spec the LED back lighting.
