    Laser colour printer

Anyone brought one recently? Looking for £350 max pref duplex and networked, decent photo printing.

Our lexmark 352's transfer belt has failed after 2 years and 68,000 sheets with a cost of £170 to replace

We've got HP2020ns which have proved pretty good. Probably at the top end of your price range though

You'll struggle to get one with duplex as well within that bracket (and bear in mind, cheap printers tend to have higher running costs).

Looked at LnL (lnlprinterweb.co.uk)? We have a few of their Konica Minolta printers (just recently got 2 of the latest 5650ENs) which are fantastic and have excellent economy, and come with network, within the price bracket you're looking at (£321 I think for the printer and starter (6k) carts). You technically don't own the printer, however we have bought one we leased after the 3yr period very, very cheap and it's still running. All parts and labour covered for the 3yr period too.

Saw this in the latest CPC leaflet.

    DELL|3110CN|PRINTER, COLOUR LASER 3110CN, | CPC

Add on the cost of a duplex unit, which seem to come in at around £150, and you'll be within your price range.

Seems to be a bulky printer though.

Second-hand HP 4600n off eBay - there's a bunch listed, all professionally refurbished. Around £200-odd each with duplex and networking. Our art / photography department gets on with theirs just fine.

Don't think we can buy anything off ebay that's more than petty cash value, we have to do paper orders

Just been looking at the Kyocera fsc5100 - anyone got one?

Right made up my mind HP cp3505n - no longer made but a local school have 4 and swear by them.

Misco are showing as in stock but that's not always a sign they have them. Managed to find an unnetworked one so next question would having to use a print server make a huge difference?

I'm just getting this mental image of a chap in a dock at a court, with his hand on a laser printer, solemnly swearing to tell the truth...

Variable. The model 2 of the Netgear PS101 seems to work fine. The model 1 crashes at least once a day. If you have an old PC floating around spare you could maybe use that - add a £30 scanner and a cheap IntelliPlug clone from eBay and you have a scan server, too.
