...according to the Toshiba documentation, this thing records to .avi format, but needs the Xvid codec to be installed. This is fine, but can anyone tell me whether its then possible to use the recorded files with Windows Movie Maker and/or Adobe Premiere Elements?

10th February 2009, 11:59 AM #2 Ive got one of the Pro HD ones to try - and it records stuff as MP4 which media player and movie maker can not read!!!
Have yet to look into a way of getting it to work but not had a chance so far. I would prefer not to install random codecs really.
Anyone can shed any light?

12th February 2009, 01:42 PM #4 Try the k-lite codec pack ... it sorts out most video problems. Ive used it a lot on my managers PC at school without any problems attall ....
