The channels need to be different on both management switches if their signal coverage area overlaps.
You could think of each switch as being like a traditional access point.

edit: This is what I seem to recall when the extricom technical guys came to do some training. I will check my notes.

What are the air monitors?
Basically, electronic warfare..
Stops your wireless devices from connecting to any other network that might pop up, it can mark other networks as rogue, unkown, interfering etc etc, so that you have control of your own wireless airspace. It also monitors for wireless intrusions / attacks and can stop any device doing that from being a problem.
It's standard Aruba stuff.
Who wants to quote me for 20x 3Com Wireless 7760 AP's?
Quote coming over.........![]()
We've just started deploying a Ruckus system and so far it's been amazing. Two access points have replaced six traditional ones and the coverage is 100%. The building we've put it in is an old convent with some walls two feet thick! The old Cisco stuff was reliable but didn't cope that well with the thick walls and we had a lot of dead spots. The Ruckus stuff reaches the places other access points don't!
Purchased everything from Mark at Net-ctrl and they went out of their way to sort quick shipment to us.
Highly recommended - any questions get in touch![]()
