Default Hitachi Starboard

Hello

We've got some older Interactive Whiteboards which seem to have developed a problem.

When the teacher is writing on the screen - long black lines appear from the left-hand edge to the point where the click took place.

I opened paint to see if the same thing was happening and it seems like on contact with the board, it is flicking between two 'click' points about 10 cm away from each other. I've tried different pens and usb cables and it seems like a board problem to me. Has anybody had a similar problem in the past? Is it fixable or will it need a repair/replace?

Thanks for any help in advance

How many beeps does the board give when it powers on? Anything other than four and you should call Hitachi for advice. Have the board serial number to hand.

We've seen similar symptoms, but not identical:
Have you updated/re-installed the software recently?

If so, try restarting the computer with it connected to a board via USB. Easy for your end users if you have a fleet of affected machines out there.

Alternatively connecting the board while logged on as as local admin, disconnect-reconnecting and re-launching starboard clears this.

Even if the above solves your problem do give Hitachi a call - they do know their software/hardware inside out, and you may find that SB8.1 an improvement.
