Rep Power: 8 | The laptops are still pretty decent, and one of the suites is just outside of the 3 year warranty period, whereas the others have a year left. Upon pricing up new batteries, for manufactor replacements you are looking at £90+ for each laptop. Where finding compatibles you can pick up for about half the price, and some claim to be higher capacity. Has anyone used the compatible in their laptop suites, are they any good? Do they hold up for charging once a day, or maybe twice a day? |

Rep Power: 33 | Batteries are not covered by the full length of the manfacturers warranty anyway, normally only for about 6 months some even less. Heat is the killer they can't be overcharged or charged for too long due to the laptops management circuitry but the heat build up from being charged in a trolley will do them more harm. Ben |
