Default iDesk PSU

Does anyone know where to source a cheap iDesk PSU replacement? You know the low profile ones...

I thought we had a spare but I plugged it in and got a nice smoke display

Do you know what form factor it is, TFX perhaps?
Is there a make and model number on it?

Googlemad, I've noticed that the iDesks sometimes use the wrong PSU. We've got several iDesks which don't have all the motherboard power inlets plugged in. It's normally the four pin one on the motherboard that they miss (Which explains why they're so amazingly stable).
I don't know if thats the situation with yours but might be worth checking, and then getting a different PSU that will fit the same slot. I suppose you need to make sure the IEC cord is in the same place aswell, otherwise it won't be able to slide into the desk!

Don't feel bad about that, we recently bought about 150 used/re-claimed/refurbished HP d530 SFF PCs and of about one quarter of those, the PSUs have already gone kaput - we do get a nice light show with those though I will admit.

Since the PSUs for ours cost £60+, we just keep going back to the company we bought them from who very kindly keep sending us replacements and have started telling us not to bother sending the dead ones back, which gives us a chance to re-case those. I don't know what we'll do when they stop doing this nice service for us since we don't have much of a budget to buy PSUs right now.
