I'm looking at purchasing this HP Server.
I want to stick some more memory in it, so I've got that sorted out.
As for Hard Disk drives, it says SAS/SATA, so will any SATA drive do? I was looking at two of these in a Mirror RAID.
It's for running Moodle.

I just noticed that's a 2.5" drive in a 3.5" adaptor, not ideal or the cheapest I won't imagine.
I guess what I meant to ask was, will any SATA drive work with that server as they're cheaper than the SAS drives correct?

Any SATA drive will plug in to the SATA connector on the motherboard. However, the particular drive you're looking at won't fit in the hot-swap caddies on that server as the connectors on the drive are in the wrong place. The older 150GB raptor (SATA 150) drives should fit okay - I'll double-check when mine turn up (hopefully) later today.
