ATEN KVM "Out of Range" problem

I have an ATEN KVM CS1734B and need to get to the OSD menu but when i hit scroll lock twice, the screen goes blank and displays "Out of Range" until i hit escape which takes me back to square One.

Has anyone else got one of these and have the same problem?

It sounds like the resolution or refresh rate is set to high on the other machine for what the KVM can display have you tried 1024 x 768 at 70 hz that may work.

I forgot to mention that i have tried different resolutions and refresh rates with no effect but it does sound like this type of issue as this is often something we get with classroom projectors and staff laptops

Are you using this with a wide screen laptop as the source by any chance?

I've seen some odd behaviour with KVM's when this is the case but it's a while ago so I can't remember how I resolved it.

No this is on my desktop computer on a standard 19" TFT

Well it looks like this is the monitor as can access the OSD from another. I've tried resetting the monitor settings but this still displays "Out of Range"

Issue fixed. I swapped monitors
