Our art dept has requested new, cheap to run (yeah right) colour printers.
So basically I'm looking for anyones view on a suitable A4 injet or laser.
I'm probably in a no win situation with one member of the dept as she always knows better!! Whatever I suggest will always cost more to run than the one her brother uses!!

28th June 2008, 08:45 PM #3 If you want to win this one outright then take a looong hard look at CIS kits and printers that work with them.
The HP's are ok but as you're talking about an art department you're going to want something that handles graphics and photo images so we come back to the trusty old epson.
Rather than me repeat myself ad-nauseum do a quick search on "printers" and my username and you'll find a bunch of stuff on this that should help.

28th June 2008, 10:33 PM #5 Been browsing other posts on this topic and thought I'd a good handle on whats probably the right printer i.e. the HP 3000's.
Currently they have some HP K5400 and I'm just about to show them some CIS (they've not been interested before).
Any recommendations for suppiers?

My Epson R220 at home is fantastic. I still have 2 drawers full of compatibles from when they were £4 a set off Disk Depot but they might have gone up these days?!
