We've got a brand new HP Officejet Pro K5400. I've taken it out of the box this morning and set it up. It started to run through it's self test and the warning self test message page jammed in the printer.
Removed it...let it run it's stuff.
It now won't print anything without jamming. I've looked inside to make sure that there's none of those packing tabs/tape still in there and there isn't. I can't work out why it refuses to print without jamming.
Any ideas anyone? *prods contink*

Pain in the ass in install and calibrate.
But here is a nice easy step.
> Hold down the paper feed button for 60seconds, till it starts pulling paper in and printing diagnostic rubbish. Our one did the same till I did the paper feed thing.

Some things do arrive broken

Yes, like our replacement laptop screen which arrived via City Link on Friday with a big boot print on the squashed packaging.....

Given that it's new and you've still got some time I'd agree with Si on this one... Send it back...
It's highly likely that something has been skewed or broken off in the paper path during transit so there's no point in living with this one.
Now quit prodding

Yeah, we came to the conclusion that it's going back after having a look inside. Posting here was just a bit of a last hope to save the hassle kinda thing. Cheers guys.
