Promethean Activboard 2 - oversensitive

We have a Promethean Activboard 2 (the one with an arm)

It is completely oversensitive, the pen works about an inch from the board which makes writing on it a nightmare!

I have updated the drivers and am now on ActivPrimary 3.5 and even changed the machine driving it... it had an HP desktop and now has a Toshiba Satellite Pro A120 Laptop attached. Both machines run XP Pro SP2.

Any ideas please?

Try a different pen. The pens have lots of issues and we had a board doing this that was cured by a new pen.

Also check with the techincal support to see if there is a firmware update for the board

We had issue when you write on the board it would look like spiking got a firmware update cd install and now fully working

Extra thanks to ZH - having rummaged to the back of my drawer and turned out some spare pens, one of the spares behaved beautifully.



PS We intended to replace the Pc with a laptop anyway... didn't just do it to fix this
