    HP ProLiant ML115 - £119.99!!!

    Insight are offering this:

This affordable entry-level server provides a resource-efficient computing solution designed to meet both the IT and budgetary requirements of your business. The HP ProLiant ML115 combines the proven reliability of HP ProLiant technology and the latest AMD processors. The ProLiant ML115 is specifically designed with the needs of small to medium businesses in mind.

    1 x 1.8 GHz AMD Dual-Core Opteron
1 GB memory expandable to 8 GB
160GB SATA Non-Hot Plug Hard Drive
    3 year warranty

...for £119.99!!! (Ex VAT) Obviously an attempt to strike back at Dell's cheap entry level servers.
Why not buy them as desktops at that price?? ;-)

Do you have a direct link to this?

That price cannot be correct, surely?

I think they were likely querying the Catalyst price that insight gave, which you'll only get over the phone/email with their education people.

I have, they need an OEM Vista Business Licence, a cheap VGA Card (the on-board is SHOCKING) before drivers the lag is lagriffic and its not that wonderful once drivered up tbh! and a cheap PCI-Express soundcard. So on top of the £96 catalist price, its about £18 for the soundcard, similar for a VGA Card and £65 for the Vista licence so for near enough £200 you have a great spec desktop PC.

They are silent enough when running but be warned on startup they are like concorde taking starting up but within 60 seconds they go silent again.

If they are at that price in a few months time I see no reason why they won't be in the running for the new desktop purchases.
