Netgear GS748-T throughout. They are noisy but very good.

Good, I'm about to kit a new building out with them. What's the management and reporting like?

Otherwise Netgear.

The majority of our switches are Cisco.
We have a couple of small 5 port netgear switches but all the rest are 2900 or 3500 Cataylst.
We do need to upgrade out 16 port fibre switch so if any one has any ideas or recommendations please let me know.
Up to know we are considering changing to a chassis solution probably Cisco.

Depending on cost, either HP or Netgear. Plus Netgear are awlays chucking in Ipods, and other goodies with their kit

It's amazin the nobody appears to use Nortel kit - It represents excellent quality and is a fraction of the price of Cisco.

Moving towards all HP Procurve

current 4000, 8000M, + 5308xl main routing switch

older kit being phased out Intel 460t's & 470t's

Cant fault the HP Procurve switches we have all across our site.

Netgears in the main, but have some D-Link mini hubs, Netgear mini switches, Allied telesyn, 3Com, and even a few HP Procurves (will add that they are 10 speed)

Replaced all our old 3Com kit last year with Nortel Kit. Works very well and money wise is very competative. And the management software is pretty funky as well!

Replaced all of our Netgear hubs (yes hubs!!) about 3 months ago and replaced all with AT switches. One failed within a month and it took another month to get AT to agree that one of their switches could actually fail!

I think lifetime support refers to the lifetime of the product, so presumably within its support cycle. I could be wrong, but I doubt its going to be the lifetime of the the owner :P
