Another Eee Inspired Laptop From Medion

Medion are now looking for a slice of the Asus Eees market with the Medion Akoya Mini.

The Medion E1210 will be an ultra-portable 10-inch sub laptop based on Intelís new Aton chip at either 1.6 or 1.8 Ghz with 1Gb of RAM. Also included will be a conventional 1.8 inch HDD. The usual array of connections will be included with VGA out, 2 USB ports, Card Reader, Ethernet plus a 1.3mp webcam.

It will come in both Linux and XP flavours and should come in at the £320 - £350 mark.

Wonder if we will see this in Aldi

That sounds expensive; it's comparable in spec to a basic Dell Inspiron but with a smaller screen and much the same price.

The good thing about the eee is that it's cheap; not sure what demand there is for smallish and not cheap but I'd guess we'll see!

I think MSI will sell it from about £250 upwards, it will be similar to the eee 900 Atom I believe.

I quite like the look of it... not as shiny looking as HP's offering and maybe a little plasticy but if the price is right...
