Anybody had this. We turn the projector on, it begins the countdown from 30 seconds, gets to either 3 or 5 seconds then switchs off. We have cleaned all the filters and it still does this.
Any ideas? Its an SU-30
Yep I've had this happen. (Not sure on the samew model number)
It powers off if it can't detect a signal. I know it's obvoius bit check which input you've set it to first.
Also had one come with a broken bulb which did the same thing due to the pojector being new Sanyo requested to have it back to check it.
The guys who did the AV installation were a bit annoyed they weren't allowed to just change the bulb. Which was ultimately what Sanyo did in the end.
I swapped the bulb and assembly with one of another one in the school and it works fine now. Thanks.
We have just got the same problem with one of our projectors.
Promethian said it was the bulb and won't come to look at it under their support system. I just wondered if it could be anything else as we have got the screen up for a couple of seconds at the end of the countdown before it powers down, so the bulb does work. Or do these bulbs fade away rather than pop like domestic lighting?
I cleaned the filter which had very little dust on it.
Thanks
As you have said, the bulb pops when it comes to its end of life, or turned off before it has cooled down fully etc.Originally Posted by apple
