    Media Room

We are also kitting out a Media Room over the summer, 10 Machines mainly used for Abobe premier and the macromedia suite. The issue is storage we are looking at having the room connected to the main server room by a 2gb fibre channel? is there any bandwidth issues there? has anyone else done this in past.
Another way is to stick a server in the room in a big metal box??

    yours ideas are greatly appreciated

2gbps fiber channel is for storage networking between servers equipped with fiber channel host bus adapters and fiber channel storage arrays, normally via a switched fc fabric. Creating a Storage Area Network.

I think you're a bit confused by the technology, fiber channel is strictly a server side or high end media workstation technology.
