Default This ASUS Minibook

Pretty low level question from a newbie with 0% knowledge of Linux but we are thinking of getting one of these notebook from RM to trial at our school, but how 'easy' is it to get one of these on our windows server 2003 active directory network, not much point paying out for one if we are unable to give students access to there network drives.

Don't know about getting the Linux Minibook on the AD2003 network, but there's always the option of installing XP on the minibook............

To answer the OP's question... It is relatively easy to gain basic access to shares and printers with the eeePC out the box.

If you want to get fancy and have it do things automagically for suers, you will need to script some bits. SimpleSi has been working on some of this and has had some great results!
