Default Identify individual drives in multi card reader

Is it possible to identify which drive letters match with which slot in a multi card media reader. I don't have samples of each card type so I'm hoping to be able to do this in software.

Any ideas?

it's based off the pci id bus number. So the drive with the lowest id is first. The drive with the highest id is last.

Some card reader chipsets have windows drivers (normally a patched usbstor.inf) giving card icons and descriptions instead of the generic removable drive.

USB Device IDs then. Plus you should be able to use USBDLM to control it.
